reviewfinder was founded in 2023 – out of frustration with the tedious search for genuine reviews.
It all started with a simple but annoying experience: the two of us – Norman Dilthey and Lars Hermes – were sitting around one evening trying to find a trustworthy company on Google Maps. For hours we scrolled through contradictory stars, half-sentences and reviews where you could never be sure whether they were real. That was the moment it became clear to us: this has to be easier and, above all, more honest.
Out of that idea, reviewfinder was born in 2023. We started at a kitchen table with a simple promise: gather every review of a company in one place, verified against the original source and shown unfiltered – positive and critical voices alike. No prettified averages, no bought reviews.
What began as a weekend project is today a platform people trust for their decisions. Our motivation has stayed the same as on that first evening: transparency you can rely on.
